Marriage Workshops

A few times per year we offer a six-session marriage workshop to provide couples with scientifically proven tools and techniques known to enhance marital satisfaction. The workshop design is a less intensive format than traditional couples therapy, and is a kick start or ‘101’ course if you will, for couples looking for practical advice and tools that they can immediately apply to their marriage. Whether you’ve been married 3 months or 30 years every couple takes something new and positive away from these workshops; this is one of the greatest gifts we as presenters get from conducting these workshops. Workshops are always limited in size so that couples get personal and focused attention from the therapist.

Prior to the workshop series each couple has a private counseling session with the clinician. During this time a formal relationship inventory is completed to assess the strengths and weaknesses within the marriage. At the end of the six-session workshop series the couple again sits down in private counseling session with the clinician.  The results of the relationship inventory are shared with the couple at this time, and used to reinforce the concepts and tools covered in the workshop itself. This process is unique to our workshops and has been considered valuable by many participants.

Some of the topics covered in the workshop include:

  • Communication
  • Emotional Intimacy
  • Resolving Conflict
  • Forgiveness
  • Trust and Respect
  • Physical Intimacy
  • Finances

Payment Options:

All major insurance carriers are accepted. In most cases the only out of pocket expense is the insurance co-payment (5-20 dollars for most plans).
